„Leveraging Gene Expression Omnibus, FANTOM/Zenbu/CAGEr, and TreeFam: Case Studies in Functional Genomics Databases and Software”.
Abstrakt wykładu:
Since 1997, I have leveraged functional genomics databases and computational tools to drive research in computational genetics and bioinformatics, resulting in the publication of 50 peer-reviewed papers. My work includes large-scale data mining of the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) to extract insights into complex diseases such as COVID-19 and the molecular mechanisms of anticancer phytochemicals, including curcumin and resveratrol. Additionally, I have applied advanced data analysis methods to build novel functional and evolutionary gene models, utilizing resources such as the FANTOM and TreeFam databases. In this presentation, I will explore several case studies illustrating the application of these databases in uncovering biological patterns and advancing our understanding of gene function and evolution.
Serdecznie zapraszamy wszystkich zainteresowanych!
